Feasibility Study Announced

We’re delighted to announce that the date is now set for the next stage of Midsteeple Quarter’s work to explore the future of three of our community-owned buildings on Dumfries High Street.
From 23 September, we’ll be bringing a week of exciting engagement events and activities to the town centre, culminating in our AGM on 29 September.
At the heart of the week will be an interactive exhibition and engagement hub in the town centre, where you can find out more about the feasibility study, explore ideas for the future and, most importantly, share your own thoughts, ideas and inspiration for what comes next.
The feasibility study, being carried out by Dumfries-based Robert Potter and Partners, is exploring options for the long-term future of:
🏬 111 High Street – Flourish
🏬 113–115 High Street – The Smithy
🏬 117–119 High Street – The Press/Printworks
The aim is to explore how these buildings could contribute to a vibrant, thriving High Street – with opportunities for affordable homes, independent businesses, flexible working, learning, community activity and much more.

Throughout the week there will be opportunities to look back, explore the present and imagine the future. We’ll be asking questions, sharing ideas, creating possibilities and bringing people together to help shape the next chapter for our High Street.
