Dumfries Heritage Festival 2027 - Call Out for Expression of Interest

Midsteeple Quarter is partnering with Dumfries & Galloway Council and Historic Environment Scotland to deliver Dumfries Heritage Festival (working title) next summer to celebrate the built environment and cultural heritage of our wonderful town! The festival will align with and be part of the national Architecture Fringe programme, running from 4th - 20th June 2027. This year's theme is 'The Public Life of Home' which we welcome you to draw inspiration from, however, it is not mandatory.

We are calling out to all community groups, creatives, storytellers, local history enthusiasts and anyone with a passion for Dumfries to submit an expression of interest to develop and deliver a project or event(s). The project must relate to the heritage of Dumfries and be delivered between 4th - 20th June.

We have grants of up to £500 to help make each project happen.

If you are interested in collaborating with us, please fill in our initial Expression of Interest form by 22nd November 2026.

We would also appreciate it if you could complete our optional and anonymous Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring Form. This will help us understand who we are reaching and identify ways to make our outreach as inclusive as possible.

We aim to respond to all who have submitted an expression of interest by 4th December 2026.
