MSQ Welcomes Finance & Admin Coordinator
The team at Midsteeple Quarter are pleased to welcome Katrina Macleod. As Finance and Administration Co-ordinator, Katrina will provide essential financial and administrative support to our staff and Board. The core focus of the role is financial management; however she will also contribute to the effective running of our office and the ongoing development of our membership systems.
Katrina has always lived in Dumfries and has had a varied career. Most recently, she has developed her finance and administration skills at a local farm that diversified in butchery, farm work and holiday accommodation.
Katrina also has experience in the third sector having volunteered as Co-Chair of Dunscore Nursery. She says, “"I'm really excited to be part of a team actively working to improve and enhance Dumfries town centre. As someone who has lived in Dumfries their whole life, it is very important to me that the town's potential is recognised and positive steps are taken to make it a thriving community."
The post is currently funded by Scottish Government's Investing in Communities Fund.
Tim Cowen, Executive Director said: "We are delighted that Katrina has joined the team as our new part-time finance and admin co-ordinator. Katrina brings a really valuable set of skills and experience to the post and will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in all that MSQ does. We'd also like to pass on our thanks to Lynn Garroch who filled the role so well on a freelance basis for the last 12 months."
