Dumfries High Street pop-up shop helps improve lives
There are some pretty remarkable people and organisations in Dumfries and Galloway - and we are proud to work with a number of them who use our spaces for pop-up shops, events and exhibitions.
A regular visitor to Midsteeple Quarter is Ashagifts, which used a number of our community-owned spaces for pop-up shops, with the most recent being held in The Front Shop of The Standard, our flagship development on Dumfries High Street.
Ashagifts works to empower who have survived human trafficking and landmines really is powerful. Every penny spent with founder Khandu and her team helps to empower them forge a new future for themselves.
Her pop-up shops are packed with fantastic textiles, jewellery and handmade gifts - each one of them made with care and carrying its own story of resilience, dignity and hope.
Khandu is a fantastic advocate for our spaces - and the people of Dumfries clearly support Ashagifts’ work.
