Thursday November 08

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be having a stall at the very first Dumfries Makers Market as part of this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On in Dumfries Town Centre on 2nd December.

Dumfries Makers Market is a project by The Guild Dumfries C.I.C which has been working extremely hard to bring their vision of a monthly curated street market festival to life in Dumfries town centre. They want to showcase designers, makers, artists, craftsmen, independent businesses plus artisan food and beverage producers, with an emphasis on quality, regional and seasonal produce.

They hope to create a destination event, a unique and interesting experience to promote a sense of community pride and social interaction, planning to create an attractive destination, brimming with character and vitality. A place that provides both the stall holders and visitors a truly unique experience and engage the public beyond simply just passively buying something at the market.

The Makers Market will be from 12noon-7pm in Dumfries, with over 20 traders taking part. The Midsteeple Quarter stall will have a range of t-shirts and tote bags for sale, with the opportunity to find our more about the project and sign up to become a member of the Midsteeple Quarter Community Benefit Society. We hope to see as many people as possible come along to support such a fantastic event and buy local!
