Welcome MSQ’s new Community Engagement & Communications Coordinator

The Midsteeple Quarter team are pleased to welcome Heather Taylor to the post of community engagement and communications coordinator.

Heather joins the team at an exciting phase of development where she will be working with our membership to ensure consultation and connection with a feasibility study for the regeneration design options for three of our community-owned buildings.

Heather has extensive experience in community engagement, participatory creative practice, and has a specialism in accessibility and inclusion which she is looking forward to bringing to this role. She says, “I’m looking forward to connecting with members and exploring what the high street and these spaces mean to them. There is great opportunity to explore innovative approaches and I am excited about blending my own creative practice with this work.”

The post of Community Engagement and Communications Co-ordinator is funded by Development Trust Association Scotland's Recovery and Resilience Programme.

A key part of her job will be to increase our visual presence on the High Street and strengthen our engagement with our members.

Midsteeple Quarter executive director Tim Cowen said, “We are delighted that Heather has joined the MSQ Team. She brings a great mix of experience and skills that will boost our capacity to engage with our members and involve the local community in our future plans. As MSQ enters the next phase of our work, Heather's new role will play a central part in shaping how we connect, communicate and grow.”
