The Green Room, The Standard: Join us for a relaxed and supportive small-group session exploring the relationship between music and literature using a shared reading approach. Through song lyrics and texts, the session invites conversation and creative engagement.

Shared reading is about connection and engagement - not accuracy or analysis. Readers of all abilities are welcome, and no previous experience is needed.

This space is inclusive, non-judgemental, and open to all.

The session will take place in The Green Room at The Standard, 135 High Street, Dumfries. This room is accessed via The Standard Close. The venue has step free access and accessible toliets.

This free event is run by Midsteeple Quarter and Narrative, supported by Dumfries & Galloway council. Narrative is an emerging shared reading organisation based in Dumfries and Galloway, dedicated to helping people engage with literature in meaningful and therapeutic ways. Sessions will be led by shared reading facilitator Lauren McDaid.
