Running Order for Official Launch!
Friday April 06
Saturday 7th of April 2018 sees the official launch of our Midsteeple Quarter Community Benefit Society! And we have got some amazing things in store for everyone in the community.
Starting at 11am and running until 3pm, this is what you can expect:
11am – 11.30am (approx) – Opening speech from the Provost of Dumfries and Nithsdale, Tracey Little. Followed by the start of the Soapbox with speeches from local MPs.
11.30am – 12.30pm – Performances by Public Protest Singers and Poets
12.30am – 1pm – Street Performer featuring Bed of Nails and Fire Breathing
1pm – Saxophone performance by SWing Band
1.30pm – Music from Fraser Clark
2pm – Street Performer (Repeat performance)
2.30pm – 3pm – Music by Colin J Amis
Everything will take place at the Plainstanes on the High Street and there will be an information point in The Stove Face. Everything is absolutely free to attend! We will have some of our fabulous new merchandise on sale too, and will have an event illustrator drawing the events of the day and uploading the drawings to the Midsteeple Quarter social media channels.
