Christine Gourlay is the founder of In Step Dance Studios, a community-focused business based on Dumfries High Street.

With over a decade of experience in business, she brings expertise in entrepreneurship, community building, team development, events, marketing, sales and social media. Alongside In Step, she has experience across a range of entrepreneurial and creative ventures including workshops, key-note speaking, digital marketing, e-commerce, sales of digital products and success coaching.

As both a High Street business owner and an active member of the local community, she is passionate about seeing Dumfries town centre thrive. Christine is particularly interested in creating a High Street that gives people reasons to visit, spend time in and feel connected to, while supporting enterprise, creativity and opportunities for the next generation.

She also serves on Dumfries Town Board and is proud to bring her practical business experience, community perspective and passion for Dumfries to the Board of Midsteeple Quarter.
